Sacred
Sites
Most sacred
sites remain undiscovered. If you have a special experience that you want
to share, please let us know.
You can do this anonymously if you wish. Photos also gratefully received
and as much detail on how to find the site as possible.
Scotland
Argyll
and Bute
St. Columba's Point, Isle of Bute
The site of an eternal spring, the ruins of an ancient retreat remain.
Very powerful golden light bathes this site and it is highly recommended.
Caithness
St. Mary's, four miles west of Thurso
The site of another eternal spring and the remains of a twelfth century
church still stands there. A strange site, calm despite the turbulent
weather of that part of Scotland. It attracts a strong sense of spirits
being all around you.
East Lothian
Doon Hill, by Dunbar
An ancient temple site where the witches used to dance in the 16th century.
Though nothing shows above ground, excavations have revealed a temple
and a hall which may have been a lord's hall or more likely a Christian
church.
